Art: Goodbye, Padfoot

I've been a long time fan of Snark_n_Bark over at Insane journal.
All the characters there are wonderful. Among the myriad characters there resides one of the only Sirius Blacks, I have ever truly loved.
Brash, fun loving, flawed and utterly Sirius! You've made me laugh, cry bitter tears and surprised me many times over.
Thank you for all the wonderful threads and antics you got up to!
Your last post brought tears to my eyes.

You'll be missed very much.......

I hadn't followed the rp since I have tough time coming into things in the middle, but I hopped over to read his last post and oh, ouch!

Lovely illustration for it, it looks gorgeous technically, but I think really captures the perfect emotion.

Thank you! It made me just soooo sad and I had to channel it! The image of him knowing what he had to do and walking into the veil...it gripped me and wouldn't let go. I think it's also one of hte few times, I got teary-eyed working on a piece of art, too. Talk about being sappy. *he he he*

Wow! What a hot, gorgeous Sirius! He's sexy as hell. I think I'm in love.

I haven't read the rpg but I'm getting from the picture this is a sad scene. I love the resolution on Sirius's face, in his step and his clenched fist. I love how it looks like a simple drawing and yet you captured so much characterisation. And the monochrome gives it a certain mood. Wonderful.

Now I'll just stare a bit at the hotness. *g*

The RPG is a Snape/Lupin centric fun, crazy, serious RPG and I'm just a devote follower! hee!
Yes, the scene was very sad for me and you can get an idea from reading the letters Sirius wrote prior to his walking into the veil.

I don't follow Snark_n_Bark, but I read that post and...oh wow. This captures the mood perfectly, so beautiful and sad. I love the expression on his face as he walks through the veil--kind of sad but determined, going out on his own terms, instead of falling through like he did in Book 5.

And would it ruin the somber moment if I said that your Sirius is so wonderfully scruffy-sexy, just the way I've always pictured him? ^_^

Thank you for commenting Geri-san! It helped that the Sirius used for the icons in RPG was Hugh Jackman...he's just drool worthy himself. But yeah, this Sirius came out very nice-if I do say so myself...heeee!

Wow! I am so bookmarking that image for when I need inspiration writing Sirius because that is a perfect depiction. I love the monochromatic palette on this, too. Beautiful.
