I had such a nice time visiting my friend who graduated and received her PHD.

While I was in Chicago, I got to see the Harry Potter Exhibition! It was totally awesome! They did a "sorting hat" ceremony with three of the children in the group.
Unfortuntately we were not allowed to take photos in the actual Exhibit.

Snupin: Bigger, Longer and Uncut (the Snape/Lupin Big Bang), is looking for more artists!

If your interested, send an email stating so to lupinsnape@gmail.com that includes both your IJ and LJ name. The cut-off for sign-ups is April 30, 2009. If you know of any friends that might be interested in participating, please point them over here, too.

After your email, join at the Snupin art com here. This is the community where all the action is taking place under automatically locked posts - you'll find the fics, the sign-ups for art, and a space for art beta, if you need it. Two stories are already up with a third being coded. The writer deadline is in two weeks, also on April 30. So now is the prime time to come join the fun!!

Here are some other guidelines the mods have provided, too:
We did the math and at a bare minimum, we need about 40 pieces of art, which includes cover art. Artists are given freedom to claim scenes from lists the authors prepare, or to request a scene of their choosing from the fics.

We don't require that Snape and Lupin are in each piece, except on the covers. We'll take scenes with Snape alone or Lupin alone, or even of other characters if they are in major scenes in the fic.

Writers are providing scene lists so artists aren't required to read every fic if they don't have time or inclination.

Finally, if you're a Snape/Lupin fan, please point to this post on your flist or feel free to use the text here for your own post. You never know when there might be a shy, budding artist or a veteran artist just waiting for something like this!
